Angie Kent reveals the cost of her cosmetic procedures in Body+Soul

Publish date: 2024-05-02

Former Bachelorette Angie Kent has shared exactly which cosmetic procedures she has done – and the annual cost adds up to enough for a house deposit.

Having undergone a glamorous makeover to shift from Gogglebox punter to prime time star of The Bachelorette in 2019, Kent told Body+Soul that she’s “a massive fan” of injectables, adding that people should “do whatever you want to do” when it comes to their faces.

“I went from sitting on my couch in my PJs to wearing a fancy dress with my hair and make-up professionally done,” Kent, who has long been an open book when it comes to her transformation, told Body+Soul as this weekend’s cover star.

“Of course it was a shock to viewers, but my appearance doesn’t change who I am as a person. I was very much myself,” she said, adding of her procedures: “I think that you should do whatever you want to do.

“I’m a huge fan of ageing gracefully, but I’m also a massive fan of injectables and treatments,” she said.

“I’ve been open about getting the same work done for the past five years. I’ve been honest about getting Botox. In fact, I’m mad for a little bit of Botox. I’d never not have it.”

While she didn’t specify which, Kent went on to admit that she receives some of her cosmetic procedures for free as a public figure.

When Body+Soul added up the real-life cost were she to foot the entire bill for her various appointments – hair, Botox, fillers, eyebrows, teeth and skin – it came to more than $26,700 a year.

That’s a new car or a house deposit.

“Anything to do with your face, you want to go to someone who’s good,” she said.

“It does cost a lot, so do what’s best for your face, rather than copying a certain celebrity or doing it just because everyone else is doing it.”

Kent has been honest about her love of fillers in the past, telling The Daily Telegraph last year: “They say it is a preventive. I just love it … just a little bit. You don’t need it often, maybe once every year.

“I have got real everything but I look after my skin so I get a little bit of (Botox) and cheeky fillers.”

While Kent admits to her penchant for skin treatments, she has denied claims of plastic surgery, saying she would never get a boob job, and that she was ‘quite happy’ with her self-described ‘little breasts’.

Kent, who split from her chosen Bachelorette suitor Carlin Sterritt in July, has recently landed herself a role in the feature film The Possessed .

Angie will star in the movie alongside Wolf Creek’s John Jarratt, Real Housewife Of Sydney’s Melissa Tkautz, model Alli Simpson and former Bachelor star Romy Poulier, among several others such as Lincoln Lewis, Sean Lynch, Maha Wilson, Lauren Grimson, Simone Buchanan, Jade Kevin Foster and Melissa Bell.
