Ozzy Osbourne doesn't want Johnny Depp to play him in a planned biopic about his life
One of the great heavy metal legends, Ozzy Osbourne, will be the subject of a biopic that will focus on his relationship with his wife Sharon, particularly in the period between 1979 and 1996, with a story written by his daughter Aimee. But the legendary Black Sabbath singer has a special request.
Ozzy cares who will be the actor to play him in the big screen, but there is one actor in particular he doesn't want to be played by: Johnny Depp.
"I don't want anyone like Johnny Depp to act like me. I'd rather have someone who is relatively unknown," he said.
The film will feature Osbourne's addictions
Although there is not much information about it yet, it is known that the film will show the intense moments in Ozzy's life, especially with Sharon. It will show the struggle with addictions that Ozzy has gone through, who doesn't mind his life being shown for what it is on the big screen.
"I don't give a shit. I mean, if it's a hit, great. As long as it's not too tongue-in-cheek and bullshitty, you know?".
They don't want a Bohemian Rhapsody-style biopic
The Osbournes don't want their film to resemble Bohemian Rhapsody - which chronicles the life of Queen singer Freddie Mercury - as Sharon considers the latter a "Hallmark movie" and theirs they want to be more raw and intense.
"Our movie has to be much more real. We don't want it to be squeaky, sparkly clean and all that. It's not a movie we're going to make for kids. It's an adult film, for adults."
So far it has not been revealed who will be the actor to play Ozzy Osbourne, as the rocker does not want it to be someone famous.
