Taylor Swift sings You Oughta Know with Alanis Morissette

Also, Ellen DeGeneres and Natalie Maines were there too. We are absolutely not jealous.

Long before our favourite country-turned-pop singer was belting out relatable lyrics about her past relationships, Alanis Morissette sang anti-men anthems. Some of them were so epic we still remember them now! It was a match made in heaven, really.

And what better song for a duet between the two of them than the classic You Oughta Know?

Youtube has been removing videos with the full songs due to Copyright, so these clips will have to do. A little Alaylor (Alanis and Taylor — we admit it’s not our best) is better than none, yeah?

Taylor has been really bringing it lately with the special guests for her 1989 tour, but last night was on another level: she also brought out Natalie Maines – yes, from Dixie Chicks! – to duet “Goodbye Earl” with her.

I used to sing Dixie Chicks songs at every talent show. Singing ‘Goodbye Earl’ with Natalie tonight was unbelievable. pic.twitter.com/2r9N8T4TKq

And just when you think the night couldn’t get any better, Ellen DeGeneres struts her stuff to Style. In a full body sparkly shoot. It’s just as hilarious as it sounds. Seriously, you need to see this:

Phew. Feeling a bit glum you weren’t there? That’s alright. Come here. We can hug it out.
