Years & Years unveil the dancefloor ready 'All For You'
With their sophomore album Palo Santo due for release in just over a week’s time, Years & Years have unveiled the fourth track from it, titled ‘All For You’.
Produced by Greg Kurstin, ‘All For You’ was debuted yesterday as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1 on Apple Music. In a similar vein to ‘If You’re Over Me’, ‘All For You’ is a track which is made for the dancefloor. Armed with an infectious beat and frontman Olly Alexander’s signature captivating vocals, the track will make you want to bop along all summer long.
‘All For You’ follows on from ‘Palo Santo’, ‘If You’re Over Me’, and ‘Sanctify’, all taken from Years & Years’ forthcoming album Palo Santo, which is due for release on July 6. The four tracks so far give us a little insight into what we can expect from the trio’s new body of work and we couldn’t be more excited for it.
Speaking about the origin of Palo Santo with Zane Lowe, Olly said: “So Palo Santo is the name of this type of wood that you burn and the smoke is meant to cleanse and purify your space of evil spirits. So I have a lot of evil spirits aiming to get rid of. I just became very fascinated by this thing, Palo Santo and I also just love the way it sounded, like a place. So we used it to kind of create, be the name for this fictional world we made for the album.”
Years & Years will be heading out on an European tour from November in support of their new album. Dates and ticket information can be found here.
